What is Reiki?
Pronounced (Ray-Key)

Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing system created by Mikao Usui from Japan. Reiki means "Universal Life Force Energy." This life force energy is called chi in Chinese, prana in Hindu, mana by the Kahunas and Jesus called it light.

How is Reiki Done?

The Reiki healer brings the energy or light through him or her and out their hands to the client. This energy heals the client physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. The use of crystal therapy and color & sound therapy can be used to aid in the amplification and acceleration of the Reiki healing energy.

Science has proven that we are not bodies alone, but that we have an electrical system as well, that is made up of energy. By placing the hands over the area of a fully clothed body, the energy is transmitted through the Reiki practitioner's hands to the areas needed. Reiki can balance your energy system (called chakras) in the physical body and bring the client back to wholeness. It can assist in healing illness and disease,relieve pain and help to stop a bleeding cut quickly. It can be used on babies and even animals. Reiki is also done at long distances without participation from the client in person. Science has just proven that long distance energy healing works. Many different ailments have been healed by Reiki, such as headaches, body aches, stress related illnesses, broken bones and has been used as an aid to massage therapy. Reiki has also healed chronic illnesses, such as arthritis & asthma, however repeated treatments are required.

How long does a session last?

A session lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours. A long distance Reiki treatment is just as beneficial as a treatment in person. Prices for both are the same. Reiki will assist you on your journey to perfect health and wholeness.

Who should not have a Reiki treatment?

Anyone who has a pacemaker or any similar mechanized device should not get a Reiki treatment. Never drink alcohol 24 hours prior to or after a Reiki treatment.

Becoming a Reiki Healer or Teacher

To become a Reiki healer you need to learn Reiki through a series of 1-4 classes or degrees. To become a master teacher you must pass all 4 Reiki classes or degrees and become certified. You then have to apprentice a certified Reiki master teacher for 3 classes. Each degree is taught in a separate class. You will be given what are called attunements that will activate the Reiki healing that is lying dormant in your DNA. In Reiki I you will learn what Reiki is, it's history, symbols and how to do Reiki on yourself. In Reiki II you will learn how to do Reiki on others as well as long distance, practice on students and how to see energy and read auras. Reiki I & II are done on the same day. Reiki II may be done separately at a later date.
